Clifford "Smitty" Smith, III, has been creating leather works for over 17 years. A self-taught leather worker, he later apprenticed with Master Saddle Maker, Bill Gomer, of Leavenworth, Kansas. He confers with experts across the US and Europe and researches the maker, period and materials, in order to replicate the creator's integrity in his antique saddle and leather restorations. His work has been displayed at the Fiesta De Los Vaqueros in Tucson, other Rodeos throughout the South and Western United States, World Ranch Rodeo Championship in Amarillo, Texas, San Francisco Stock Show and SASS End of Trail World Championships.
